Clients only have to list their wines if they choose to sell before the ideal selling window. Every wine at Vinovest has an ideal selling window that shows when a wine should experience peak demand and, therefore, deliver the largest possible return for clients.
We strongly discourage clients from selling outside of the selling window. The wine will not have reached its optimal flavor profile, and clients will likely forgo their maximum potential return. Simply put, it is not in the best financial interest of the client’s wine portfolio.
However, we do understand that some clients may want to sell their wine prematurely. Instead of locking in funds, we allow individuals to list their wines for sale manually within our ecosystem.
Note: fine wine and whiskey are long-term, illiquid assets. Selling wine and whiskey outside of its ideal selling window may result in the rate of appreciation not covering costs and expenses, such as Vinovest transaction fees and third party costs to sell the wine or spirit.
