Will I still be charged storage and insurance fees on wine I’ve listed for sale?

Yes. Storage and insurance preserve the value of the wine as long as you own it, including when it’s listed for sale. Without covering these costs, your wine would be at significantly higher risk of damage, spoilage, or contamination and would ultimately be harder to sell.

Note: fine wine and whiskey are long-term, illiquid assets. Selling wine and whiskey outside of its ideal selling window may result in the rate of appreciation not covering costs and expenses, such as Vinovest transaction fees and third party costs to sell the wine or spirit.
