When your cask reaches maturity, we will work with our global network of buyers to sell it on your behalf. You may also have your cask bottled for an additional fee. At present, there is no way to sell your casks on the Vinovest Marketplace; however, we are working on adding that feature in the future.
It’s important to note that whiskey is a long-term, illiquid asset: its value typically grows over time and it is best suited for investors with a multi-year horizon. Our team will always recommend a hold time depending on the cask, which will typically be at least four years, if not longer. Selling your cask prematurely, before it has realized its full value, may result in the rate of appreciation not covering costs and expenses, such as Vinovest transaction fees and third party costs to sell the wine or spirit.
