(labeled as "Reserve"). Even though this wine is now in its 12th year of evolution, there is no real discernable different between the 750 ml and magnum formats save for a bit more freshness. The note from 750 ml applies equally well here: Elegant, exceptionally ripe and still very primary red floral fruit with structured, firmly tannic, medium weight flavors that display fine delineation, excellent purity and fine length. This is clearly built to age as it there is prominent acidity, particularly on the finish, budding complexity and excellent backend intensity. While this is clearly an excellent wine, it doesn't strike me as one of Jayer's best.
