A smooth, fleshy red, with cherry, licorice and leather flavors matched to a firm, pliable structure. Opulent and balanced, with bright acidity as well as grip on the finish. Best from 2014 through 2027. 250 cases imported.

Aromas of dried berries and chocolate follow through to a full body, with velvety tannins and a lot of fruit. Balanced and delicious. Impressive wine that shows superb depth of fruit.

Bold and elegant at the same time. Packs a powerful punch in a silk glove. Intense aromas of ripe fruit, spice, cherry liqueur, cola, dried sage and cigar box. The mouthfeel is pristine and structured, with a precise, tonic and streamlined impact.

Bright, deep red. Higher-toned and more floral on the nose than the Rennina, showing pungent red cherry, marzipan, gingerbread and Asian spice aromas. Concentrated and penetrating in the mouth, boasting a more chiseled texture and more lift than the Rennina but still wonderfully ripe, dense and silky in the style of 2007. Finishes with very sweet, lush tannins and excellent structure and nerve for a graceful evolution in bottle.

The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Sugarille is dazzling. Dark fruit, tar, licorice and smoke come to life in this dramatic, large-scaled Brunello. The 2007 boasts incredible intensity and power all the way through to the palate-staining finish. Today the tannins are big and imposing, but they should start settling down as the wine approaches its tenth birthday. I saw the wine shut down quickly in the glass, which is an excellent sign for its potential longevity. This is a flat-out gorgeous bottle of wine.
