Good bright red. Expressive aromas of strawberry, mocha and musky earth. Sweet, concentrated and fat with fruit; wonderfully rich and creamy in a ripe-year Chambolle way, but with enough mineral, clove and roasted herb character to leaven the wine's richness. Dusty tannins should not get in the way of enjoying this wine fairly young. (ST)

Mild reduction knocks down the softly wood-trimmed nose but the seductively textured, palate coating and mineral-driven flavors possess a beguiling sense of underlying tension, all wrapped in an explosive, intense and quite serious finish. The firm tannins are well buffered by all of the sap and this should age very well. Drink: 2017+
