Score a big success for Twomey in putting this Merlot together, this one has taken the wine up a notch from its previous efforts, which were already quite fine. Deep ruby color; bold ripe currants aromas with a fine hit of sweet oak, medium bodied, focused, and pretty powerful on the palate, fine smooth textures, with sweet tannins; dry, medium acidity, well balanced; rich and enticing black fruit flavors, with a nice measure of sweet oak, excellent persistence and concentration; medium finish, long and full in the aftertaste.
