Critics Scores
Wine Enthusiast
Firm and concentrated, this wine has great structure and density along with acidity and berry flavor. There is an attractive final spicy element.
James Suckling
The aromas in this 2011 are impressive, with flowers, plums and currants. Full body with velvety tannins and pretty, ripe, juicy fruit. A tad hollow in the center palate but it doesn’t matter - still outstanding.
Wine Spectator
Shows a slight edge, with charcoal, game and tobacco notes out front. The core of steeped fig and macerated black currant fruit is studded with ganache and waits in reserve. Reveals a smoldering edge on the finish, offering a flicker of game. Best from 2016 through 2023.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Hints of bay leaf, creme de cassis, incense, damp earth and graphite are present in this ripe, medium to full-bodied, soft, evolved Pomerol. Deep plum/crimson, it should drink nicely for 12-15+ years.
