Pure and elegant, exhibiting cherry, strawberry, floral and mineral flavors, married to a solid, stylish frame. Linear yet verging on lacy, with a long, resonant aftertaste. Best from 2018 through 2032.

Chiara Boschis has produced an admirable 2011 Barolo Cannubi that offers deep richness and plush layers that you don't often get with this single-vineyard. The vintner has done a terrific job of portraying the muscular vintage against the feminine vineyard site. Barolo Cannubi opens to dark fruit, dry earth and spice. Yet, it remains breezy and airy, nonetheless, with an elegant and buoyant personality. Pretty menthol notes appear on the close. Farming is organic and this wine is aged in barrique and botte grande in equal parts.
