Rich and spicy, this silky-textured red also boasts cherry and strawberry flavors. There are ample tannins, and the well-integrated oak shows a light touch. Excellent length. Best from 2017 through 2028. 100 cases imported.

There is a certain similarity to the aromatic profile of the Noirots in that this also evidences notes of wood, menthol and liqueur-like dark berry fruit scents though here there are the additions of more earth and spice elements. The round and seductively textured middle weight flavors possess a refined mouth feel, all wrapped in a lightly mineral-inflected finish that offers outstanding depth and length. Bouchard always seems to do very well with this appellation and the 2012 version is no exception.
