Critics Scores
Wine Spectator
A rich, dense version, sporting apple, grapefruit, licorice and spice flavors. This is juicy and well-balanced, showing fine length and a hint of mineral. Drink now through 2018.
Wine Enthusiast
Dense and rich, this shows structure as well as powerful fruits. It comes from a parcel of chalk soil at the southern end of Pouilly Fuissé. The wine is firm, concentrated, packed with yellow fruits as well as layers of acidity and toast structure. Drink from 2016.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2012 Pouilly Fuissé les Combettes is a level up on the nose compared to the Tête de Cru, with subtle notes of white chocolate and brioche on the nose. The palate is crisp and focused; touches of orange peel and marmalade on the entry, quite linear and streamlined with a punchy, saline finish that just needs a little more persistency to merit a higher score.
