Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Tasted blind at the annual "Burgfest" tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Corton Grand Cru Cuvee de Bourdon from Laurent Ponsot has a fragrant bouquet with wilted rose petals infusing the slightly rustic yet still appealing red berry fruit. The palate is a little oaky but it feel nicely integrated with the fruit. There is a gentle grip in the mouth, a healthy dash of white pepper and a sense of symmetry towards the finish that indicates a well made Corton that may warrant a higher score with continued bottle age. 90+ (NM)
Burghound
A markedly earthy nose features notes of very ripe dark currant, game and leather hints. Here too there is a lovely sense of energy and punch to the muscular but not really rustic broad-shouldered flavors that also possess very good if not sensational mid-palate concentration before culminating in a balanced and palate coating finish.
