The 2013 Champs Perdrix was absolutely singing at the time of my visit to the Michelot cellars, soaring from the glass in a very pure and vibrant constellation of black cherries, plums, nutskin, dark soil tones, pigeon and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with great focus and grip, ripe tannins and a very long, soil-driven and perfectly balanced finish. A very fine wine in the making. 2023-2055.
