An exceptionally fresh and cool nose exhibits aromas of menthol, red and dark berries, spice and plenty of sauvage character. There is good power, size and weight to the big-bodied flavors that display ample minerality on the long, serious and impressively long finish. This is restrained but a good deal less austere than it typically is and remarkably, could actually be enjoyed young even though it is certainly constructed to reward aging.
