Critics Scores
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Aux Reas is 100 destemmed. It has a precise, mineral-driven bouquet with a slight reduction that does not disguise an attractive touch of iodine. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, bright red cherry fruit with a citric finish that feels more harmonious than some of Thibault’s “lesser” crus. Very fine. (NM)
Vinous
(this wine from calcaire-rich soil was totally destemmed; the production here was just 18 hectoliters per hectare, according to Liger-Belair): Bright, dark red with ruby highlights. Very rich aromas of raspberry, coffee and bitter chocolate, plus a note of leathery reduction. Pliant and impressively concentrated, showing good mineral tension and freshness to the dark berry and iodine flavors. The long, saline finish saturates the palate. Promises to be an outstanding village wine. (ST)

There is excellent richness and volume to the seductively textured flavors that possess good mid-palate fat before concluding in a clean, saline and balanced finish. This is very Vosne in character and should also be approachable in its youth.
