Moving to the 2014s, these are more fresh, elegant and lively than the 2015s, yet have impressive purity and precision. Utterly fantastic, with a profound, deep, rich style, the 2014 Condrieu Coteau du Chéry comes from old vines and a south-facing, granite hillside that’s one of the true Grand Cru sites in the appellation (Vernon and Grillet being the others). Buttered peach, flowers, white cherries and crushed citrus all emerge from this full-bodied, pure, elegant, silky, seamless beauty that does everything right. It’s the star of the lineup in 2014.
