Can a fine Chardonnay be too easy to drink? Well maybe, but not really: the 2014 Au Bon Climat Santa Barbara Chardonnay is so amicable in every which way. From the sniff of its ripe core fruit and light creamy aromas to its taste of more of the same on the palate, this wine is simply delectable. This would be an excellent choice with shellfish in a light buttery sauce. Too easy? No, just a perfect choice to share with family and friends. Drinks now. (Tasted: April 13, 2016, San Francisco, CA)
