2014 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Nuits Saint Georges Clos des Grandes Vignes Rouge Burgundy - The 2014 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos des Grandes Vignes was one of the few 2014s from the domaine to show just a touch of reduction on the nose. Underneath, it seems intense with black rather than red fruit, and a palpable sense of energy. The palate is medium-bodied with a saline entry, brisk and energetic with a keen thread of acidity, leading to a confit-like finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. This deserves several years in bottle. (92-94)
