Bright red with ruby tones. Livelier on the nose than the Chevrets, offering scents of black cherry, licorice, minerals and menthol. Dense, sappy and dry, offering terrific breadth but little easy sweetness to its rich, savory flavors of red berries and minerals; the saline minerality here actually calls to mind a white wine from the Côte de Beaune. A wine of noteworthy delicacy, finishing long and perfumed, with tannins that saturate the teeth without showing the slightest aggressiveness. A superb 2014 Volnay with real lift. 93+ Points
