Critics Scores
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2014 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a pretty, pure and nuanced bouquet that unfolds with time in the glass: red cherries, fresh strawberry and limestone scents, later a touch of rose petal. The palate is smooth and supple with good density, quite saline in the mouth with darker berried fruit fanning out towards the finish that has impressive salinity on the aftertaste. Excellent.
Wine Spectator
A firm, dense, rigorous red, whose wild cherry and berry confit flavors are upheld by oaky tannins. This will need some time to resolve the oak, but the fruit and concentration persist.
James Suckling
So glorious with dried-strawberry and -cherry character. Medium to full body, ultra-polished and beautiful tannins and hints of stones and cedar. Very pretty and refined. Lovely length. Drink or hold.
Wine Enthusiast
The five acres of vines owned by Louis Jadot in this vineyard make this rich, bold, structured wine. Floral and intensely perfumed, with ripe red berry fruit, it's ripe while maintaining the intense acidity of the vintage. With all that power comes great longevity.
