James Suckling
Extremely perfumed and attractive with blueberry and cherry aromas and hints of flowers, following through to a full body with firm and silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Give it another two or three years to come together. Try after 2021.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
From the Treiso township, the 2015 Barbaresco Bernadot is slightly smoky and mineral compared to the Asili expression that I tasted at the same time. The bouquet here takes a minute or two longer to open and express itself. I also discovered that the mouthfeel of this wine shows more fiber and volume. There is a discernible touch of cherry sweetness here as well.
Wine Spectator
Juniper, floral, cherry, leather and mineral flavors ply the fleshy texture in this savory red. Rich and well-structured, with leather and earth accents gracing the finish. Best from 2021 through 2036.
Wine Enthusiast
Aromas of toast, underbrush, roasted coffee bean and a whiff of camphor lead the nose. It's taut and rather light bodied, showing sour cherry, cranberry, espresso and white pepper alongside fine-grained tannins and bright acidity.
