Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Clos du Château had been racked two weeks prior to my visit, ready for bottling the following week. It has a delightful bouquet with red cherry, crushed strawberry and fine mineralité for a village cru. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, a touch of tangy marmalade infusing the red berry fruit, with fine structure and acidity towards the energetic finish. Give this 2-3 years in bottle and it should drink well for a decade.

The 2015 Clos du Château had been assembled in mid-September (just before the start of the harvest of 2016) and was destined to be bottled early in the new year. The wine is also very pure and stylish, delivering scents of raspberries, beetroot, fine minerality, gamebird, a bit of bonfire, Vosne spices and cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and quite solid at the core, with lovely soil signature, modest tannins and a long, vibrant and silky finish. There is a touch more dimension and depth on the Colombière this year, but the Clos du Château is also excellent.
