Wine Spectator
Offers resinous aromas and black cherry, black currant and blueberry flavors. Dense and chunky, with ample freshness underneath. A bit monolithic now and gruff on the finish, with dusty tannins and a long aftertaste. (BS)
Burghound
A ripe yet restrained nose somewhat grudgingly offers up its aromas of dark currant, plum, spice and freshly turned earth. There is outstanding size, weight and concentration to the very suave, round and quite generously proportioned big-bodied flavors that culminate in a muscular and well-balanced finish where a touch of the classic youthful austerity appears. This too will require at least some patience though I would expect that this could be approached after only 7 to 8 years of cellaring

Vinous
Deep medium red. Perfumed nose combines black cherry, graphite minerality, violet and licorice; the clay-based soil here gives more airy aromatics, notes Gublin. Not a powerhouse or even particularly thick or expansive but fine-grained and quite suave. Today the wine's firm, building tannins clamp down on the very primary dark fruit and mineral flavors but there's a juiciness and medicinal reserve here that suggest that this wine will reward extended cellaring. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru includes 30 whole bunch fruit. It has a succinct bouquet, quite understated compared to others that I have tasted, but well defined with black cherries, bergamot and pomegranate aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, tensile tannin. There is a keen thread of acidity here, gently grip with a slightly chalky textured, but energetic finish with pleasing frisson. Enjoy this over the next 15-20 years. (NM)
