Vinous
Medium red; less dark and saturated than the Clos Vougeot. Deeply pitched but highly nuanced aromas and flavors of black cherry, red licorice, dried rose petal, tobacco, spices and musky minerality. Plush, sweet, silky wine with uncommon depth; hugely rich but not heavy, this voluptuous wine expands to fill the mouth. The explosively long finish features utterly noble tannins. Did I mention that this sophisticated, fresh wine boasts a texture of liquid velvet?

(from Les Cruots which is also known as Vignes Blanches). A spicier but even more restrained nose combines notes of red, blue and dark pinot fruit with those of rose petal, violet and sandalwood. This is quite ripe but there is a lovely sense of freshness and vivacity to the concentrated, muscular and superbly rich medium weight plus flavors that possess a highly seductive mouthfeel while delivering outstanding length on the powerful finish. This is firm but really quite refined and while it should age effortlessly it should also be approachable after only 7 to 8 years or so. 2032+
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a powerful bouquet that harnesses the warmth of the growing season without losing one iota of the delineation: dark cherries intermingle with mulberry, chestnut, a touch of leather and white pepper - very complex and involving. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannin on the entry. This is brimming over with energy and tension, a vein of orange rind interwoven through the red fruit with a dash of black pepper towards the structured finish. This is an outstanding Echézeaux from Etienne Grivot.
Wine Spectator
Initially shows some earth and animal aromas that give way to high-toned leafy, green, currant and cherry notes with air. Elegant, refined and vibrant, this persists through the long finish, revealing fruit, spice and mineral elements.
