A slightly riper nose grudgingly offers up a densely layered array of essence of plum, cassis, violet and as is usually the case, plenty of warm earth and a wide range of spice influences. There is excellent size, weight and power to the less refined big-bodied flavors that display evident muscle and punch on the velvet-textured finish that goes on and on. This is also exceptionally good though it's also a wine that is even more firmly structured.
