A ripe, fresh and attractively layered nose combines notes of hazelnut, acacia blossom and lightly spiced pear. There is more volume and richness if less minerality to the delicious, round and sappy flavors that possess good finishing punch and persistence.

The 2015 Meursault Village, which comes mostly from Clos de Baronne, was ready for bottling (essentially the finished wine). It has a crisp lime flower and red apple scented bouquet, later just a hint of grilled almond that enhanced the complexity. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity that cuts through the surprisingly mineral-rich citrus fruit. There is a lovely saline tang that lingers on the finish. Enjoy this lovely, well-crafted Meursault over the next six to eight years.
Decanter
This reveals a pretty bouquet of pear, apple, almond and crème pâtissière, leading into a taut, medium to full-bodied - and still quite primary - palate with nice focus and grip. This will really blossom with a couple of years of bottle age. Drinking Window 2018 - 2025.
