The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Amoureuses has a detailed, slightly earthy bouquet that maybe does not quite capture the exuberance of the vineyard like some of the others that I have encountered. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red berry fruit, fine acidity and seamlessly integrated oak. It fans out gently towards the finish, silky in texture with a dark cherry and cassis aftertaste. Very fine, although the aromatics just need to up their game. (91-93)
