Here too a subtle application of wood easily allows the citrus-inflected, white flower and pear scents to be appreciated. The mouth feel of the medium weight flavors is a bit more refined while retaining fine precision and punch on the notably dry finish that is also slightly lean. Like the Tête de Cru, this should benefit from a bit of bottle age to flesh out.Range: 88-91

The 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Combettes offers up pretty aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus and almond paste. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, elegantly satiny and tangy, with good concentration and length. It's a pure, tensile bottling from a cooler, stonier site that ferments and matures in neutral wood.
