A discreet but not invisible application of oak sets off more elegant aromas of citrus, white flower, Granny Smith apples and wet stone. There is taut muscularity to the full-bodied and much more mineral-driven broad-shouldered flavors that brim with minerality on the clean, dry and youthfully austere finale. This will require at least a few years of bottle age and should reward up to a decade's worth.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
More musky and exotic, the 2016 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru reveals notions of ripe peach, apricot, honeycomb and citrus blossom. On the palate, it's full-bodied, glossy and rich, with a thick, unctuous attack but juicy acids and refreshing phenolic grip on the back end.
