Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is an attractively gourmand, fruit-driven wine that bursts from the glass with notes of sweet red cherries, raspberries and dried flowers, followed by a supple, succulent palate. Duroché began producing Gevrey-Chambertin lieux-dits bottlings in 2005; before that date, the parcels that produced those cuvées went into the domaine's Gevrey village and the others were sold to négociants. Drink: 2018-2033.

A more elegant if otherwise similar array is present on the expressive nose with the exception that here there is a bit more earth character. The sleek, round and enticing medium-bodied flavors possess unusually good complexity for a villages level wine while the lingering finish displaying only a touch of rusticity.
