About This Wine
Don't even bother trying to find 2016 Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron Romanée-Saint-Vivant in bulk. It's impossible. The husband-and-wife duo of Sophie Meunier-Confuron and Alain Meunier only releases small allocations of this pinot noir to its most trusted customers. But for those fortunate enough to have held a bottle, they know the results are well-worth pursuing. Alain and Sophie carefully crafted 2016 Romanée-Saint-Vivant for an expansive mouthfeel, round fruit, and silky tannins. Thanks to low-yielding vines, this pinot noir also delivers concentrated layers of black cherries, blackberries, graphite, earth, and salinity. Give it a few years in the cellar, and 2016 Romanée-Saint-Vivant will reveal the entirety of its grand cru potential.
