Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2016 Corton Rognet Grand Cru, which comes in with a modest 13.2 alcohol and unusually for the domaine, it was harvested after and not before the Côte de Nuits. It has a very appealing bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry fruit laced with wilted rose petals, the oak here seamlessly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, superb mineralité and a crystalline finish that urges you back for another sip. What and outstanding Corton Rognet. This comes highly recommended.

A much defter application of wood is present here too but in this case the aromas of plum, black cherry, earth and a whiff of the sauvage have no trouble being appreciated. I very much like the sleek, even polished mouthfeel of the bigger, richer and more powerful broad-shouldered flavors that display excellent persistence on the palate coating, dusty and beautifully long finale where a hint of bitter cherry pit can be found. This is very firmly structured and will need at least a few years of bottle age first but in time it should be very good.
Vinous
The 2016 Corton Grand Cru is comparatively deep in colour. The bouquet is surfeit with red berry fruit, briary and crushed stone aromas, all well defined and beautifully assimilated with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black and red fruit, well judged acidity, clean and crisp with gentle grip on the finish. This is a superb Corton that will give 20 years of drinking pleasure. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting.

Decanter
The Corton Rognet is very good this year, revealing a nose of wild berries, forest floor and grilled game. On the palate the wine is quite supple and expansive on the attack, with a cool core of fruit and a fine but firm chassis of chalky tannin.
