James Suckling
A deep and really complex Echezeaux with a ton of forest berries, very polished tannins and wonderful sweetness that grows at the back of the palate. Very long and complex finish with a lot of herbal and mineral complexity. Very long finish. This will be delicious from release, but has a great future ahead of it.
Wine Spectator
This red is intense yet also very graceful, lending a combination of elegance and power. The firm structure keeps this defined, as the cherry, strawberry, floral and oak spice flavors evolve on the palate. Long and mouthwatering. Best from 2022 through 2037.
Burghound
Reduction and wood mask everything except a wisp of spice. By contrast there is fine freshness and excellent underlying tension present on the powerful and precise medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a lengthy, austere and backward finish as the supporting tannins are prominent.
