The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Clos des Guettes 1er Cru, matured in around 35 new oak, has a generous bouquet of macerated small red cherries, mulberry and touches of crushed stone. The harmonious, medium-bodied palate features sappy red berry fruit, gentle grip and a slather of new oak to be absorbed on the finish. Therefore, give this three or four years to fully meld together.
