Another super elegant white Burgundy with very delicate and seductive floral notes, plus fresh and candied lemons. Elegant and polished on the palate with a long and complex, chalky finish. Try it in 2020.

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Gain unfurls in the glass with a beautiful bouquet of crisp orchard fruit, Meyer lemon, honeycomb, frangipane and white currants. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and supple, with succulent acids, a nicely concentrated core of fruit, fine-boned structure and a precise finish. This is an elegant, precise Champ Gain from Faiveley, and it comes warmly recommended.

There is a whiff of exoticism to the equally deftly wooded nose of acacia blossom, white peach and melon aromas. There is fine richness to the nicely voluminous flavors that coat the mouth with dry extract on the lightly stony finish that is dry, clean and focused.
