Burghound
A discreetly spicy nose features attractive notes of tea, violet, red pinot and a whiff of sandalwood. There is equally good density to the more refined medium weight flavors that possess a velvety texture that carries over the lingering and balanced finish. This moderately firm effort is very Vosne-like in character.

Vinous
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village has quite a feisty nose, perhaps with just a touch of VA at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, a little metallic on the entry, sinewy and quite grippy, though I would be seeking more finesse on the finish once bottled.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village offers up a pretty bouquet of sweet berries, plums and candied peel, deftly framed by spicy new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, with succulent acids and a nicely defined finish. It's a charming wine that will drink well on release.
