The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes 1er Cru contains 25 whole bunch fruit this year. It has a clean, pure bouquet of raspberry and wild strawberry, the one-third new oak lending volume and presence. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin. This feels well balanced and fresh in the mouth, but there is a sense of strictness and linearity on the finish. Fine.
