The 2017 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has an entrancing, pure wild strawberry and cranberry bouquet laced with allspice and orange pith. The oak here is nicely assimilated. The palate is very harmonious on the entry, with sorbet-like red fruit. Hints of salted licorice and Moroccan spices render the finish quite complex. A very fine Charmes-Chambertin that should age with style. 92-94
