Subtle but not invisible wood influence surrounds the very ripe but not jammy aromas of plum, dark raspberry and pungent earth. The less concentrated but more refined medium-bodied flavors retain good delineation that carries over to the somewhat one-dimensional if lengthy finish. This will undoubtedly add depth with time in bottle but it's going to need quite a bit to achieve the upper end of my projected range.
