Burghound
This is quite firmly reduced and impossible to read the nose today. Otherwise there is terrific punch to the beautifully well-delineated medium-bodied flavors that flash a bit more minerality if not quite the same mid-palate density on the crunchy, clean, very dry and slightly more complex finale. Lovely.
Vinous
The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Let Folatières 1er Cru spent 12 months in barrel (228- and 600-liter) and at the time of tasting was in stainless steel. It has a stoic, almost aloof bouquet that does not want to come out to play. The palate is well balanced with pretty apricot and ginger-tinged citrus fruit, gaining weight toward the finish, which maintains the spicy edge all the way through. Excellent.
