The 2018 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru has an intriguing bouquet of dark cherries bergamot and cassis retaining the opulent aromatics that I noted last year. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins and quite closed at the moment with a mineral-driven finish. This will certainly need 4–5 years to open but there is good potential for this sturdy Clos Vougeot. (Drink between 2025-2045)
