Guillaume Tardy's excellent village Gevrey comes from the Brochon side of the appellation, where he farms a 0.3ha parcel of 65-year-old vines on deep soils. Plush and succulent, it's textured, ripe and stylishly oaked with supple tannins, layers of berry and red cherry fruit and refreshing, palate-cleansing acidity. Fine, detailed winemaking.
