A slightly riper nose offers up notes of cassis, dark cherry, spice and sandalwood, all of which is framed in just enough oak influence to mention. There is excellent volume and palate coating dry extract present on the larger-scaled flavors that aren't as fine or mineral-driven but certainly more powerful and particularly so on the robust, serious and very firm finale. This is first-rate and absolutely worth considering.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru offers up aromas of dark cherries, cassis, baking chocolate, grilled squab, burning embers and violets. On the palate, it's full-bodied, broad and expansive, with a velvety and textural attack, a deep and layered core and a long, resonant finish. This is a rich and muscular Echézeaux that will reward keeping.
