Burghound
Generous wood and menthol aromas are present on the softly earthy and spicy nose of very ripe plum liqueur and wild dark berries. The fleshy, round and delicious medium eight flavors possess a caressing yet reasonably powerful mouthfeel, all wrapped in a lingering finish that slowly firms up as it sits on the palate. At present, this doesn't appear to have quite the same excellent depth of material as the best of these grands crus.

Vinous
The 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from contracted fruit sourced from the lieu-dit of Aux Charmes. Deep and noticeably limpid in color, it has a gorgeous, pure and sensual bouquet that shows more composure than the Corton Grand Cru. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins and more backbone than the Corton. The lively, spicy, black pepper-tinged finish lingers in the mouth. Excellent.
