The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques 1er Cru includes 75 whole-bunch fruit and is matured in 75 new oak this year. It has an intense bouquet of black cherries, crème de cassis and crushed violet aromas that billow from the glass. The medium-bodied palate delivers crunchy black cherry and blueberry fruit on the entry, and a sweet core of orange sorbet and marmalade leads to a lightly spiced, blood-orange-infused finish of good length. 91-93 Points
