The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis La Forge de Tart 1er Cru contains 15 whole bunch fruit from the "Ballonge" sub-plot that now enters the final blend. It has a clean and precise bouquet, very pure with more "Pinoté" compared to the Village Cru, greater energy and precision. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins on the entry and nicely judged acidity. There is a touch of black pepper and bay leaf towards the finish, partly lent by that judicious whole bunch addition and it feels long and tender on the finish. Very fine. (NM) 91-93
