The 2020 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru was the final red vineyard to be picked, remarkably on 24 August and it contains 35 whole bunch. This is also the first vintage to see some fermentation intégrale, around 10 of the cuvée. It has a high-toned bouquet with blueberry and cassis fruit. Maybe here I would have liked a little more whole bunch to impart more freshness? The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, firm grip, quite a "solid" Clos Vougeot that just needs a little more finesse on the finish. Quite spicy on the aftertaste. Just a little heady for my liking this year. 90-92 Points
