The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has an attractive, well-defined bouquet with Granny Smiths, Conference pear, hints of tangerine and just a very light menthol scent. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, taut and fresh, good concentration with quite a rich but delineated, spicy finish. Powerful, this is a Puligny that is determined to make an impression.
