The 2020 La Grande Rue is similar to the bottle tasted at the Grands Jours: ample red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit, fine mineralité, quite "airy" considering the growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine depth, quite strict on the finish where one finds a pinch of sour cherry and brown spices. Just needs a little more sustain on the aftertaste.
