The 2021 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, their only vineyard on the north side of Chambolle, includes around 50 whole bunches this year. The stems are discretely enmeshed, present, but allow the fruit and terroir to speak. I admire the freshness and joie-de-vivre here. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins, vivid black cherry fruit laced with orange zest/blood orange towards its energetic finish. Bon vin. 92-94
